UI Designer (Design System)
Blast our Design System into orbit!
Keepit is looking for a UI Designer to Design System team to join us in Krakow, Poland.
We are growing fast as a company and do our best to bring our SaaS cloud-based backup services to the global audience.
Our platform is designed to provide customers with an immutable historical archive of their primary data in systems such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, Azure AD, Dynamics 365, and Zendesk. It aims to protect them against everything, from ransomware to simple accidents.
Most of our back-end components are written in clean, modern C++ using mainly purpose-built components and STL. Several components that deal with business processes and data mining are built using Common Lisp. Everything runs on Linux.
Join us to co-own the Keepit Experience System - our design system that goes beyond components to include interaction, behaviour, and product guidelines. You’ll design accessible, scalable components in Figma, write clear usage guidance, and partner with product managers and engineers to ship high-quality interfaces fast. You’ll join a distributed team (Lviv, Copenhagen, Kraków), so online collaboration is part of everyday work, so for us collaboration is the essence to creating good user experiences and great design.
Central tasks:
- Evolve the system: Partner with designers, UX writers, and frontend engineers to expand the Keepit Experience System.
- Design components & patterns: Build robust Figma libraries (variables/tokens, variants, component properties, Auto Layout) and produce developer-ready specs.
- Document clearly: Create and maintain usage notes, interaction specs, and visual guidelines (e.g., in Supernova/Confluence).
- Knowledge about accessibility: Design to WCAG.
- Use research & data: Turn qualitative and quantitative insights (with Condense) into clear design decisions
Required skills:
- Solid theoretical and practical understanding of Design and User Experience.
- Experience in UI/UX with exposure to design systems.
- Strong Figma skills (components, libraries, variables/design tokens).
- Curiosity and drive to grow in the design-systems space.
- Ability to present solutions, incorporate feedback, and give/receive constructive critique.
- Clear English communication - able to make complex topics simple.
If you come from UX or Graphic area and have hands-on experience with design systems, you’re exactly who we want to meet. If this sounds like you, and you’re ready to impress, apply.
