The internship program aims to identify candidates for potential future employment in Common Lisp at Keepit. Applying interns are expected to have the ability to thrive in a multinational, English-speaking software development company and learn Common Lisp as a new programming language, treating Keepit production code as a real-world case study.
Who is a Common Lisp Developer at Keepit?
A Common Lisp Developer in Keepit maintains and develops several pieces of Keepit code critical for our business operations, including the code responsible for Keepit's business logic and data import functionalities. Keepit uses Common Lisp because of its standardization, longevity and stability, as well as mature compiler implementations and expressivity.
Responsibilities of a Common Lisp Developer:
Maintaining the parts of Keepit codebase written in Common Lisp and developing new features in it, writing the required documentation, communicating with other people working in technical and non-technical roles at Keepit.
Program Overview
Location: Długa 72, 31-146 Kraków
Duration: 5 months
Start: November-December. The specific start date will be communicated once the selection process is complete
Rate: 35 PLN net per hour
Employment: Umowa zlecenie with the potential for an Umowa o pracę contract upon successful completion of the internship program
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of programming, algorithms, and data structures in any high-level language (C++, Java, Python, Clojure)
- Ability to learn a new programming language (Common Lisp) and development environment (Emacs + SLIME, or any other similar toolkit)
- Commitment to working and learning on a part-time basis (100 hours per month)
- English language proficiency
- A degree in computer science or a related field is welcome, but not mandatory
