About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and business-savvy Legal Counsel with a strong foundation in contract law — ideally with legal advisory experience or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts, including SaaS agreements, and vendor agreements.

• Support legal risk management and advise on cross-functional legal issues.

• Support expansion into the DACH market.

• Act as a trusted legal partner to Sales and other commercial teams, supporting negotiations and helping structure customer and partner agreements.

• Stay current on changes in EU legislation, sharing insights with the broader team.

• Support legal tech adoption to streamline internal processes.

• Provide input on data privacy or GDPR compliance.
  

About you

To excel at this role, you’ll need:

• Master’s degree in Law from a German university.

• 3+ years of experience as a legal counsel specialising in commercial contracts, either in-house or at a law firm.

• Extensive experience with contract negotiation and review in the tech or SaaS sector.

• Comfort working in a fast-paced, agile environment with autonomy and ownership.

• Excellent written and spoken German and English; additional languages such as French, Italian, or Portuguese are a strong asset.

• Collaborative mindset and the ability to liaise across multiple functions.

• Experience with public procurement/ tender is a plus.

• Familiarity with SaaS business models, cloud computing, and related legal challenges is a plus.

• Familiarity with data privacy laws is a plus.
